McTimoney Chiropractic is a straightforward yet gentle method of using the practitioner's hands to adjust the bones of the body. The key to the success of the adjustments is in the speed, dexterity and accuracy with which they are performed.

Through these subtle adjustments, Chiropractic can relieve pain and discomfort, increase mobility and provide a better route to health. These adjustments can be made on any part of the body, as McTimoney Chiropractic is a whole-body technique.

The gentle nature of the McTimoney Chiropractic technique makes it particularly suitable for people of all ages including young babies, pregnant women and the elderly.

Chiropractic as preventative medicine...
Just as many of us go to the dentist for regular check-ups in order to keep our teeth and gums healthy, Chiropractic is also a preventative therapy. When used in this way, it greatly improves bodily health and well-being, avoiding long spells of discomfort. Regular check-ups are recommended to ensure that the body maintains a healthy balance in all aspects of its daily function.

A little bit of history...
McTimoney Chiropractic is a unique branch of the chiropractic profession in the UK. It is named after its originator, John McTimoney, who developed his whole body style of treatment in the 1950s from those techniques orginally taught at the first college of chiropractic, the Palmer College, USA.
