Dr Karen Janes is a Reiki Master and Teacher, Clinical Psychologist and Practitioner of Emotional Realignment Therapy (ERT) and Applied Energy Flow (AEF). She brings nearly a decade's experience of energy work to her practice as well as over ten years of mental health related research and psychological therapy in the NHS and charitable organisations. Karen brings her unique skills, training and experience together for sessions that are tailor-made for individual clients.
Karen's healing work is based upon the AEF approach to healing. This works with the physical, mental, emotional and energy systems of the body in a natural and respectful manner. This method incorporates Reiki and ERT, as well as working with the client's aura, chakras and other natural energies. This maximises the client's control over the work and minimises the possibility of dependence on the treatment or therapist.
AEF works with your body's own momentum and natural energy to increase your sense of wellbeing and control over your life. It works well as an independent treatment or alongside other medical or complementary therapies to address specific emotional, physical and energetic problems. The work is often helpful in lifting low mood, reducing stress and worry, improving the quality of your sleep and digestion and reducing aches and pains. You may also find AEF and Reiki helpful if you feel generally lethargic or have poor memory or concentration. Other conditions such as arthritis or hormonal imbalances may also improve with this treatment. Sessions can be helpful to those taking a preventative approach to healthcare and for those recovering from illness or injury, healing sessions may ease symptoms and aid recovery.
Karen is the only practitioner currently offering ERT and using the AEF Approach in London and is one of only a few qualified practitioners in the UK. ERT is a revolutionary new treatment, which assists clients in achieving a deep level of emotional clearance at their own pace. Physical difficulties that have developed as a result of emotional experiences or blocks may also improve. People who have experienced ERT often describe improved clarity in their thinking and a feeling of freedom and greater choice in relation to past events or current difficulties.
Hour-long Energy Healing/Reiki sessions based on the AEF approach are currently available; half hour appointments are occasionally arranged for follow up sessions. Clients should allow up to two hours for ERT sessions. Initial sessions include a consultation to gather information about your health and goals. Subsequent sessions are planned and progress is reviewed to ensure that goals are achieved. Karen is happy to provide a telephone consultation to explore whether the treatments she offers might be suitable for you.
In addition to her healing work, Karen offers small classes, as required, for people wishing to undertake training in the Usui system of Reiki. This offers a powerful healing tool for individuals to use on themselves and others.
Please note: ERT sessions usually form part of an overall treatment plan and this therapy is not suitable for a first session or one off treatment.
